The Sentosa Express is a monorail system connecting the mainland of Singapore to the Sentosa Island. The line is operated as part of Sentosa by Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC).
The monorail system has 4 stations at 2.1km and takes about 8 minutes to travel from one end of the line to the other.
The Sentosa Express connects HarbourFront MRT Station at VivoCity station to other places within Sentosa such as the Resorts World Sentosa at Resorts World station, The Merlion at Imbiah station, and Beach Bus Terminal, the Palawan Beach, Tanjong Beach and Siloso Beach at Beach station.

The Sentosa Express started constructions in June 2003 and was built to replace the 23-year-old Sentosa Monorail that closed on 16 March 2005.
Three stations on the line, VivoCity (then Sentosa), Imbiah and Beach stations started operations on 15 January 2007. In anticipation of the new integrated resort, Resorts World station (then Waterfront station), the fourth station of the line, opened on 1 February 2010.
Sentosa and Waterfront stations were renamed to VivoCity and Resorts World stations respectively on 1 April 2019 to better reflect the vicinity of the stations.
The contract to enhance the capability of the Sentosa Express with a new wireless CBTC signalling system and another train set was awarded to Hitachi on 19 November 2014. The enhancement enables the line to cater to more passengers and better serve the increasing number of visitors entering Sentosa.
The new CBTC system uses wireless communication to transmit information on trains' positions and speeds so that the distance between trains can be reduced, yet safe and constant. This will significantly reduce the intervals between trains, cutting travel times for passengers, and allowing an addition of another train for greater capacity.
The new system also includes an Automatic Train Operation (ATO) function, allowing the trains to be fully automated. This relieves the train captains of manual train operation, allowing them to take on other tasks such as managing safety and security on the train.
Since November 2017, the Sentosa Express has switched over to the new signalling system and the additional train put into service on 24 November 2017.
